St. Pete Razing is an urban demolishment blog, celebrating the destruction of your community.
St. Pete Razing was created in April of 2023 with the goal of delivering the latest urban demolition news in Downtown St. Petersburg. By connecting you with real-time updates on what’s being torn down, replaced, or “reimagined,” we hope you’ll better understand why Downtown St. Pete continues to evolve into something completely different than it was five minutes ago.
As a city on the rise (and occasionally in the rubble), we hope you enjoy watching Downtown St. Pete blow up as much as we do.
St. Pete Razing is the only major demolishment-focused news source covering St. Pete redevelopment that doesn’t answer to developers, politicians, or Eileen. We are fully independent, locally operated, and emotionally available.

The Team:

Cedric Harris
I created St. Pete Razing because all of the other St. Pete Development pages suck. Growing up in St. Pete I always loved downtown, and now I hate it. After graduating St. Pete College in St. Pete, I still lived in St. Pete, and now I live in St. Pete. In my spare time you can find me downtown looking for historic buildings to demolish.

Constance Pembroke-Halberdier
I reside in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg, where I enjoy observing the city’s continued evolution towards something far more appropriate. I spend my time frequenting newly opened establishments, attending curated events, and supporting developments that reflect a certain standard of living. I’ve always found that a well-designed environment naturally encourages a more refined community. When I’m not writing for St. Pete Razing, I devote my time to various professional and social pursuits, though I do try to remain available to offer perspective where it is so clearly needed.

I’ve spent years on the ground in St. Petersburg, observing patterns, asking questions, and documenting what others tend to overlook. Whether it’s outside a construction site, a zoning meeting, or somewhere I probably wasn’t supposed to be, I believe there’s always a story beneath the surface. I take a methodical approach to development, reviewing details, connecting dots, and occasionally drawing conclusions that some might find… premature. When I’m not reporting for St. Pete Razing, I’m usually following a lead, revisiting a site, or standing somewhere with a serious expression while considering what it all means.
